The Kindness of People
One thing that shone through following James death was just how kind people could be and how many people were touched by James life. These are the things that keep you going and make us all smile.
One of those kindnesses happened this week. James, from birth, travelled regularly on the local buses around Aviemore with his mum and nana. This week his nana was handed her sponsorship form back for the kiltwalk with £115 from the bus drivers in memory of James.
Thank you so much Aviemore bus depot.

Cots and Blankets
The Baby James Legacy started with the help of Angel Wings Baby and Child Loss Support. Following James gaining his wings, the family were looking for something to focus on especially as so much was raised at the funeral alone.
Up till that point fundraising through Angel Wings had focused of cuddle cots and well over 100 had been funded. These are a refrigerated Moses basket, used to give families extra time with their babies after they have passed. But these are only of use to babies up to about three months. James was 16 months old when her passed. After some research we were introduced to the snuggle blanket. It’s the same as the cot, however it gets used on a conventional bed so can be used for babies too big for the cot right up to adults.
The Baby James Legacy now, almost 11 months later, have funded 6 blankets.
We are now deciding where number seven will be funded for. Blankets so far have been gifted to funeral homes, children’s wards in hospitals and also hospices.
So if any of you would like to fundraise in your child’s name in conjunction with us at The Baby James Legacy, or if there is a place where you think a snuggle blanket could be used, please get in touch and we can help fundraise together either for cots or blankets.
Cots cost £1,600 and the blankets cost £3,800 each.
